The case was dismissed for want of prosecution, according to the court’s website and friends of Hardy.

Hardy was charged in May following an incident involving a family member in a Washington, D.C., hotel. The charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor before being dismissed altogether on Tuesday.

Hardy, who went through an alcohol treatment program, lives in the South Bay. He resigned from the Kings’ staff in June.
