Kings announce roster for Saturday's opener at Vancouver

There were no surprises in the 23-man roster the Kings submitted to the NHL on Wednesday.

As Coach Terry Murray said Tuesday, the Kings will open the season Saturday at Vancouver with six rookies on the roster. Here's the roster, by position (* denotes rookie)

Only 20 players can dress for each game.

Left wing Scott Parse (groin, retroactive to Sept. 22) and left wing Ray Kaunisto (foot, retroactive to Sept. 23) have been placed on the injured reserve list. Defenseman Matt Greene (shoulder), center Marc-Andre Cliche (knee), defenseman Viatcheslav Voynov (shoulder) and defenseman Colten Teubert (wrist) are on the non-roster list.
