Ducks forward Matt Beleskey suffered a concussion Tuesday when he was pushed into the boards by Dallas defenseman Stephane Robidas and was placed on injured reserve Thursday, a club spokesman said.

Robidas got a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct. Since that was his second game misconduct for boarding in the last 41 games, he was automatically suspended for one game. He will serve that ban Thursday night when the Stars face the Kings at the American Airlines Center.

Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler, who suffered a broken nose and stiff neck when he was hit hard into the boards Oct. 15 against Phoenix, has been doing extra skating before the team’s practices and might return against New Jersey on Friday at the Honda Center or at San Jose on Saturday.

Fowler, 18, was one of the team’s top players and had a goal and three points in his first six games. He averaged 20 minutes, five seconds’ ice time per game.
