Prized rookie defenseman Cam Fowler, who suffered a broken nose Sunday during the second period of the Ducks’ 3-2 victory over Phoenix, was on the ice with his teammates Tuesday in Columbus as the Ducks prepared to open a four-game trip Wednesday against the Blue Jackets, a team spokesman said.

Fowler, 18, didn’t return Sunday but was described as probable for Wednesday’s game at Nationwide Arena. He fully participated in Tuesday’s session, the spokesman said.

Defenseman Danny Syvret, who was called up from Syracuse of the American Hockey League, also practiced with the Ducks on Tuesday. He was summoned after the Ducks lost Brendan Mikkelson to Calgary on a waiver claim.

Syvret played four games for the Syracuse Crunch, recording two points and seven penalty minutes. He had a goal and two points in three exhibition games before he was sent to Syracuse.
