Cliff Lee's wife describes abusive behavior by Yankees fans

Lee_400 Her husband may have been kicking butt on the mound, but it's safe to say Kristen Lee was not completely enjoying herself while sitting in the visiting family section at Yankee Stadium during the American League Conference Series.

The wife of Texas Rangers ace Cliff Lee says she experienced some pretty abusive behavior from Yankee fans, including taunting, cursing, throwing cups of beer and even spitting from the section above.

"The fans did not do good things in my heart," Kristen Lee told USA Today. "When people are staring at you, and saying horrible things, it's hard not to take it personal."

Those fans probably weren't looking too far past that particular series -- which saw their Yankees eliminated by the Rangers in six games -- but maybe they should have been. After all, Lee will be a free agent this offseason, and the Yankees are rumored (of course) to be interested in obtaining his services.
