The saga of Reggie Bush and the Heisman Trophy continues.

Yahoo Sports! citing sources, reported Tuesday that the Heisman Trophy Trust was expected to strip the former USC tailback of his 2005 award by the end of September.

Later in the day, ESPN’s Chris Fowler, who emcees the Heisman presentation and the annual awards dinner two nights later, reportedly said on ESPN’s SportsCenter that the Heisman trustees had not yet voted and that an announcement was not imminent.

Heisman spokesman Tim Henning told The Times, ‘The Heisman Trophy Trust has yet to make a decision, and until such time they do we have no further comment.’

In July, USC removed its copy of Bush’s Heisman from Heritage Hall and announced that it was returning it to the Heisman Trophy Trust. Under the terms of NCAA sanctions, USC must disassociate itself from Bush.
