UCLA running back Derrick Coleman was released from Huntington Hospital just after midnight Sunday with what was diagnosed as a concussion and neck sprain.

Coleman was knocked out while carrying the ball in the third quarter of UCLA’s 35-0 loss to Stanford at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night. He was immobilized and taken off the field on a stretcher.

Coleman was sent home after CT scans and X-rays were normal. There is no timetable for return to practice.
