Houston quarterback Case Keenum has been medically cleared to play against UCLA Saturday night at the Rose Bowl, according to numerous media reports in Houston.

Keenum, who is currently fifth on the NCAA all-time passing list, suffered what was believed to be a concussion trying to make a tackle following an intercepted pass against UTEP Sept. 10. His condition was unknown during the week, as Houston Coach Kevin Sumlin declared the subject off- limits.

Keenum has thrown for 553 yards and five touchdowns in two games, despite playing only seven minutes in the opener against Texas State and then missing the second half against UTEP. Houston, 2-0, is ranked 23rd in the nation. The Bruins are 0-2.
