Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, the site of many motocross motorcycle races in past years, plans this weekend to host its first Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event featuring off-road truck racing.

Various categories of trucks are scheduled to practice and qualify Friday, and then race Saturday and Sunday into the evening hours on a newly built 0.8-mile course at Glen Helen, just west of Interstate 215. The races are the ninth and 10th rounds in the 16-round series that ends Dec. 12 in Phoenix.
