World Cup: Uruguay is not the flavor of the month in Las Vegas

The World Cup semifinals will see Germany playing Spain and Uruguay playing the Netherlands.

So what do the folks who handle the bets in Las Vegas make of these matchups?

Well, in the case of the Germans, the Spanish and the Dutch, they like those teams’ chances. In the case of the Uruguayans, not so much.

Germany, Spain and the Netherlands are listed at 2-to-1 by bookmakers at the Las Vegas Hilton. Uruguay is listed at 10-to-1.

Personally, I wouldn’t bet against any team that has Diego Forlan as its top striker, but perhaps the folk in Nevada know better. It wouldn’t be the first time.
