World Cup: Osama bin Laden not attending the tournament, but he is heard from all the same

World-cup-logo_200 Rather a fine joke that was printed in Cape Town's Cape Times newspaper on Thursday morning. It was at England's expense, true, but funny nonetheless.

Here it is:

"Osama bin Laden has just released a new TV message to prove he is alive. He said England's performance was completely appalling. British intelligence have dismissed the claim, saying the message could have been recorded any time in the past 44 years."

-- Grahame L. Jones in Cape Town, South Africa
