Spain’s World Cup victory Sunday has turned out to a boon for the company that makes the team’s uniforms.

Adidas, the world’s second-largest sporting goods maker, has sold almost a million replicas of the Spanish national team jersey and has designed a new version after Spain won the soccer championship, Bloomberg News reported.

Adidas, which also sold more than a million replica jerseys from the German, Argentinean, Mexican and South African kits, shipped an additional 100,000 Spanish jerseys during the monthlong tournament, spokesman Jan Runau said from Johannesburg.

And the company has started producing a new version of the Spain shirt with one star in the emblem, representing the World Cup victory.
