USA Basketball: Krzyzewski on Eric Gordon

Just wanted to add a couple of quotes from Coach K, USA men's hoop coach Mike Krzyzewski, about Eric Gordon's inclusion on the current 15-man roster.

The Clippers' Gordon, who was particularly strong in Saturday's scrimmage in Las Vegas, made the first cut on Wednesday.

Said Krzyzewski on a conference call:

"The more comfortable he [Gordon] became, the better. In the open court, he's so strong going to the basket. In the half court, he's an outstanding shooter in addition to being a driver. Defensively, he can guard a bigger perimeter player."

The World Championships start late next month in Turkey and continue through early September. Before that, the roster will be trimmed to 12. Officials said that they could end up making the final call after the last  three exhibitions, two in Spain and one in Greece.
