Smith (pictured at left), who was acquired in a trade last summer from the Minnesota Timberwolves, made $2.3 million last season. He was considered one of the bright spots and became a fan favorite with his physical play, befitting his nickname, ‘The Rhino.’

The Clippers now have three players with past connections to the Timberwolves -- Smith, Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes.

Just call the Clippers, Minnesota West.
