Agent: Clippers re-sign Craig Smith

Craigsmith_300 Good news for Clippers fans:

Noah Lookofsky, the agent for Craig Smith, said that the free-agent power forward has re-signed with the Clippers. Lookofsky said, via email to The Times, that the deal was for one year.

Smith (pictured at left), who was acquired in a trade last summer from the Minnesota Timberwolves, made $2.3 million last season. He was considered one of the bright spots and became a fan favorite with his physical play, befitting his nickname, "The Rhino."

The Clippers now have three players with past connections to the Timberwolves -- Smith, Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes.

Just call the Clippers, Minnesota West.
