Auggie Vidovich wins first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race of his career

Auggie Vidovich, a driver from Lakeside, Calif., won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale on Saturday night. It was the first win of his West Series career.

Blake Koch from West Palm Beach, Fla., was second, followed by Brett Thompson of Jerome, Idaho, in third.

Brennan Newberry, a driver from Bakersfield, was running in second when his car stalled in Turn 2 with two laps to go in the King Taco 200. Koch passed Newberry to finish second, and Thompson was able to take advantage to finish third.

Pole winner Greg Pursley led the first 42 laps of the race but hit the backstretch wall on Lap 43 and had to pull into the pits. He finished 29th.
