Armed men burglarize the home of Charlotte Bobcats' Stephen Jackson

Jackson_500

Three armed men robbed the home of Charlotte Bobcats player Stephen Jackson early Wednesday morning while he was at a basketball camp in Texas.

Jackson's wife, Renata, was held at gunpoint, then locked in a bathroom. She was not harmed, according to police.

Jackson has lived in the $1.7-million-dollar home since December 2009. Officials said they don't know why Jackson's home was targeted, and no arrests have been made.

Some professional athletes fear they are particularly vulnerable to burglaries. An investigation by the Boston Globe in 2007 estimated that more than 90% of NBA and NFL players carried guns for protection.
