The Angels this afternoon announced their starting rotation when the Major League Baseball season resumes -- post All-Star break -- on Thursday.

Right-hander Joel Pineiro (pictured above) will start things off against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night at 7 in Anaheim. Pineiro has gone at least six innings in each of his last nine starts and has a 6-1 record during that span. Overall, he is 9-6 with a 3.95 earned-run average.

He will be followed in the rotation by right-hander Jered Weaver, left-hander Joe Saunders, right-hander Ervin Santana and left-hander Scott Kazmir.

The Angels’ left-handers have been struggling. Kazmir has lost his last four starts, his ERA ballooning from 5.08 to 6.92 during that span as he gave up 30 earned runs in 19 2/3 innings. Saunders has dropped three of his last four decisions.
