Angels recall pitchers Sean O’Sullivan and Trevor Bell

The Angels have recalled right-handers Trevor Bell and Sean O’Sullivan from triple-A Salt Lake.

O’Sullivan, 23, is expected to start Tuesday night against the Yankees. He has appeared in four games of relief for the Angels this season and has a 1.29 earned-run average in seven innings. For the Salt Lake Bees this season, he started 15 games and has a 5-5 record with a 4.76 ERA and 58 strikeouts.

Bell, 23, has appeared in 14 games of relief for the Angels this season and has a 1-1 record with a 6.38 ERA and 16 strikeouts. He has started six games for the Bees and has a 2-0 record with a 3.00 ERA and 19 strikeouts.

To make room for them, the Angels designated infielder Paul McAnulty for assignment and optioned outfielder Cory Aldridge to Salt Lake.
