World Cup: U.S. vs. Algeria: Edson Buddle replaces Herculez Gomez

June 23, 2010 |  8:10 am

Bob Bradley, who might have 45 minutes left as the U.S. coach unless he can come up with a goal or two, has taken Herculez Gomez off and replaced him with Edson Buddle as the second half gets underway.

The first-half statistics are fairly even, with the U.S. having 12 shots, four of them on target, and Algeria taking 11 shots, two of them on target. Ball possession was 53% to 47% in favor of the Desert Foxes.
