World Cup: U.S. vs. Algeria: DaMarcus Beasley makes his entrance

The clock on the Loftus Versfeld Stadium big screen shows we are into the final 10 minutes, and DaMarcus Beasley has been sent on in place of Jonathan Bornstein as Bob Bradley rolls the dice one final time.

Clint Dempsey is off the field momentarily, a bloody nose or lip the cause.

Jozy Altidore has just been fouled for the umpteenth time, and the U.S. has a free kick. Dempsey's effort sails high.

If things stay the way they are, the U.S. will be exiting the World Cup without having lost a game.

There are five minutes plus injury time to conjure up a goal.
