World Cup: So that's what was eating France

World-cup-logo_200 There is a silver lining in every black cloud. All you have to do is look hard enough.

Take France's humiliating and embarrassing disintegration at the World Cup. It led two of the country's soccer federation officials to resign, cost the federation millions in advertising when companies canceled sponsorship deals with the team and led to a government inquiry into what exactly happened and why player turned against player -- and why everyone turned against the coaching staff.

But former French soccer star Eric Cantona says it was a good thing that France came home after just three games.

"One more week and they would have eaten each other," he said. "It's best to avoid cannibalism."
