Wimbledon: Maria Sharapova has trouble-free match

In less than an hour, Maria Sharapova dispatched fellow Russian Anastasia Pivovarova, 6-1, 6-0. Afterward, Sharapova, 23, winner of Wimbledon in 2004, said she was satisfied with her game and also with the results of the Lakers’ final game. Sharapova dates Sasha Vujacic.

Sharapova said Vujacic sent her photos of the victory parade Monday. ‘It seemed really crazy,’ Sharapova said. ‘I’m very happy for him and the team.’

She also said her physical condition was good and her surgically repaired shoulder only bothered her when it snowed. ‘I’m in much better condition that I was last year,’ she said.
