USC and Hawaii will no doubt be in contact with the NCAA regarding penalties levied against the Trojans that, seemingly, could prevent the schools from playing as scheduled Sept. 2 at Honolulu.

As part of the NCAA sanctions, USC was hit with a two-year bowl ban and probation that includes a provision forbidding the Trojans to take advantage of a rule that allows teams to play 13 games because of an exemption for road games at Hawaii.
