UCLA wide receiver Antwon Moutra said he has asked for his scholarship release and will look to transfer. Moutra, a sophomore last season, fell victim to a numbers game at wide receiver, as the Bruins are deep at the position. He saw some quality time as a freshman, appearing in 10 games. He had one reception for nine yards. But Moutra played in only four games last fall, finishing with one reception for four yards.

“I just wanted more of an opportunity, so it was time to go,” Moutra said.

Moutra said he has not started to look at other schools yet. He will have two years of eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt year.

He is the second player to leave the team since spring practice ended. Tailback Milton Knox was granted his release two weeks ago.
