Some free tickets for NHL draft still available

The NHL entry draft comes to Los Angeles for the first time on Friday and Saturday at Staples Center, and a limited number of free tickets are available online at the Kings website or in person at the Staples box office.

All tickets are general admission and valid for both days. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis; doors open at 2 p.m.

To guarantee seating, fans are encouraged to download and print their tickets.

The first round of the draft will be held Friday beginning at 4 p.m. Rounds 2 through 7 will be held on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The first round will be televised on Versus and rounds 2 through 7 on Saturday will be televised on the NHL Network.

The Kings, who are hosting the draft, will have nine selections. Their first pick will be the 19th selection of the draft. The Ducks have seven picks in the draft, including two first-round selections.

The Edmonton Oilers will have the first pick.
