Mike Scioscia to miss weekend games to attend daughter's graduation
Manager Mike Scioscia will miss the Angels' games against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field on Saturday and Sunday to attend the graduation ceremony for his daughter, Taylor, who attends Louisville High in Woodland Hills.
Bench coach Ron Roenicke will manage the team in Scioscia's absence. The Angels are 5-0 with Roenicke serving as interim manager. Scioscia will join the team Monday night in Oakland for the start of a four-game series against the A's.
