Three years after he was a finalist at the Farmers Classic, American veteran James Blake will be back at the L.A. Tennis Center on the UCLA campus July 26-Aug. 1.

Blake joins defending champion Sam Querrey, the world’s third-ranked player Novak Djokovic and defending U.S. .Open champion Juan Martin del Potro though del Potro has undergone wrist surgery and his summer season is in jeopardy.

Also, the world’s top doubles team, Bob and Mike Bryan, will bring a 12-match tournament winning streak to the court.

Blake lost to Radek Stepanek in the 2007 final and he hasn’t been back since to the Los Angeles event which was known as the L.A. Open last year.

On July 24 Andre Agassi and John McEnroe will play an exhibition as part of Stars Under the Stars, a night of tennis and entertainment to benefit the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education. On the day after the tournament, on Aug. 2, the L.A. Tennis Center will host KLOS Rocking the Net with rocker Bret Michaels, who recently won the Donald Trump show Celebrity Apprentice and also survived several serious health issues.
