Frankie Gomez a perfect four for four as a professional boxer

Well, that was fast.

Two minutes and 32 seconds into the first round, Frankie Gomez defeated Jaime Orrantia by technical knockout tonight at the Nokia Club in downtown L.A. Gomez, who was 120-8 as an amateur, including a win in the 2009 U.S. amateur championships, has won all four of his pro fights by knockout.

Gomez took it slow before he launched a furious attack after about 30 seconds of sizing up Orrantia, a Mexican boxer who was clearly in no condition to be in the ring with the likes of Gomez. After a particularly vicious right uppercut that backed Orrantia against the ropes, he simply looked up at Gomez and shook his head.

Less than two minutes later, it was over and Gomez was 4-0 on the professional circuit.
