Eric Holmes wins NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race in Oregon

Eric Holmes won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Douglas County Speedway in Oregon on Saturday night. It was his third straight win at the track in Roseburg, Ore.

David Mayhew, a driver from Bakersfield, won the pole and maintained his lead in the West Series standings. He has a 42-point lead over Holmes after four races.

Greg Pursley, a graduate of Canyon High in Canyon Country, finished sixth in the race and is in third place in the West Series standings.

It was a rough race for Luis Martinez Jr. of Long Beach. His car’s steering box froze up in practice. He had to withdraw from the race on lap 54 and finished last.
