World Cup: Diego Maradona insults photographer after driving over the man's foot

The strain already is beginning to show on Diego Maradona and the World Cup is still three weeks away.

In his latest bit of bizarre behavior, Argentina's coach hurled insults at an unidentified photographer in Buenos Aires Wednesday moments after driving over the man's foot.

"How can you put your leg there where it can get run over, man?" Maradona yelled.

The luckless photographer was treated by paramedics on the scene at Argentina's training base and then taken away for further treatment. Police photographed Maradona's car and also questioned the 49-year-old World Cup winner after the incident.

Maradona, who now sports a beard because he cannot shave after being bitten in the face by his dog in March -- we don't make this stuff up, folks -- had nothing to say after the accident. He is scheduled to talk to the media on Sunday, ahead of Argentina's warm-up game against Canada on Monday.
