David
and Travis Wear, McDonald’s All-Americans who played last season as freshmen at North Carolina, have signed grant-in-aid papers to attend UCLA, their father, David Sr., confirmed Tuesday.

Both are 6-foot-10 and will be sophomores. Under NCAA transfer rules, they have to sit out next season.

Travis averaged 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 32 games. David averaged 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds and missed the last five games with a hip injury. Both were standouts at Santa Ana Mater Dei before picking North Carolina over UCLA.

Their father said the twins are pleased to be coming home.

‘They’re back in Southern California with their friends,’ he said. ‘They’re very excited. They’re happy to have interest from Coach [Ben] Howland.’
