The Denver Broncos’ draft-day gamble on Tim Tebow has already paid off -- financially at least.

Tebow’s Broncos No. 15 was the clear leader in jersey sales on the NFL’s website in April. The quarterback, who won the Heisman Trophy and two national championships at Florida, was selected 25th overall by the Broncos in last month’s NFL draft.

The jersey of new Washington quarterback Donovan McNabb -- who was traded to the Redskins by Philadelphia on April 4 -- is the second-most popular for the month. And his replacement with the Philadelphia Eagles, Kevin Kolb, lands in the rankings at No. 12.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was suspended April 21 for violating the league’s personal conduct policy -- plummeted out of the top 25 for April after ranking 11th in jersey sales for the entire year ending March 31.

Which reminds me -- anyone in the market for a slightly-used Steelers No. 7 jersey?
