Israel Vazquez, Rafael Marquez tour L.A. before Saturday fight

In advance of their fourth fight Saturday at Staples Center in what has been one of boxing’s most epic trilogies, Huntington Park’s Israel Vazquez and his rival Rafael Marquez of Mexico will make public appearances Monday and Tuesday.

Vazquez and co-main event bantamweight fighter Abner Mares will appear Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Grand Central Market, 317 S. Broadway, in Los Angeles, where they are expected to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

On Tuesday, Vazquez, Marquez, Mares and his opponent, world bantamweight champion Yonnhy Perez, will participate in throwing out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium before the Dodgers-Houston Astros game at 7 p.m.

The official weigh-in is set for Friday at Staples Center’s Star Plaza at 1 p.m.

The bouts will begin at Staples and air on Showtime Saturday at 6 p.m.
