AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The first round is in jeopardy at the Masters.

Why? Because of nine words you never want to read: ‘The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch.’

That announcement came just a few minutes ago. Rain began falling shortly after 1 p.m., and the winds have been Chicago-quality, gusting up to 30 m.p.h.

Tiger Woods eagled No. 8 and then birdied No. 9 to move to 3-under par, two shots behind leaders Tom Watson, Lee Westwood, Y.E. Yang and Phil Mickelson. Nick Watney is also at 5-under, through 16 holes.
