A two-run single by Steve Rodriguez with the bases loaded in the top of the 16th inning gave UCLA a 3-1 victory over Oregon State in a marathon Pacific 10 Conference baseball game that started Saturday afternoon and ended more than six hours later.

Garett Claypool, UCLA’s starting pitcher on Tuesday, was forced to come off the bench in relief. He threw 4 2/3 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and striking out five, to pick up the victory.
