Tiger Woods applies to play in U.S. Open

Tiger Woods has applied to play in the U.S. Open, the Associated Press is reporting. The USGA received his entry form Monday, a day after Woods tied for fourth place in the Masters.
Entry forms are due by April 28. The U.S. Open will take place June 17-20 at Pebble Beach, where Woods won by 15 shots 10 years ago.
The Masters was Woods’ return to competitive golf after five months away from the game.
