The chief executive of mixed martial arts organization Strikeforce told The Times on Friday he’s bringing a fight card to downtown Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on June 16.

Scott Coker said he’s negotiating for the Showtime-televised main event to feature a 185-pound match between former Elite Xtreme Combat middleweight champion Robbie Lawler and Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller.

Lawler, 27, and Miller, 29, previously fought in a 2006 event in Hawaii, with Miller winning by a third-round submission (arm triangle). Lawler (19-5 with one no-contest and 16 knockouts) knocked out Melvin Manhoef in his most recent fight in January in Miami, and Miller (22-7 with one no-contest and 13 submissions) will fight Tim Stout on the Strikeforce April 17 card in Nashville.

Coker said he also plans to have Strikeforce women’s champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos on the Los Angeles card, along with former professional wrestler Bobby Lashley.
