Philadelphia 76ers President Ed Stefanski announced Thursday that the organization had fired Coach Eddie Jordan.

Jordan was hired last summer, and Stefanski said the team had since taken an ‘unacceptable’ step backward.

The Sixers finished the season third to last in the Eastern Conference with a record of 27-55 and failed to make the playoffs for the first time in three years.
