You better watch out, you better not cry, David Stern is coming to town.
The NBA commissioner has grown tired of coaches’ and players’ complaints about the officials and recently urged them to go ahead, “make my day.”
Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard accepted the challenge and was fined $35,000 on Wednesday after criticizing officials on his blog DwightHoward.com.
During the Magic’s first-round series against the Charlotte Bobcats, Howard fouled out of the last two games and played only 105 minutes and committed 22 fouls in four games.
“I’m not looking to say anything to get myself in trouble with the league, but I just don’t see other star players getting called for fouls the way I get them,” Howard wrote on his blog. “No star player in the league is outta games the way I am.”
Howard received a $15,000 fine in November for posting similar comments on his blog.
