Kurt Rambis to join Lakers playoff coverage

Because he has no immediate coaching duties with his Minnesota Timberwolves, former Lakers coach Kurt Rambis is joining Tuesday’s Fox Sports West coverage of Game 5 of the Lakers-Oklahoma City first-round NBA playoff series, which is tied 2-2.

Rambis will join Bill Macdonald and Norm Nixon on Star Plaza at Staples Center for the pre-game, halftime and post-game shows. There will also be live question-and-answer sessions with Nixon and Matt ‘Money’ Smith during the game.

Also, the unveiling ceremony for the Chick Hearn statue, which took place after Game 2, will be rebroadcast at 6 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.
