The Kings pulled out an overtime victory over the Colorado Avalanche, 2-1, finishing the season with 101 points.

The turning point in the game came late in the third period when defenseman Matt Greene fired a shot at the net, which center Jarret Stoll was able to redirect past Colorado’s Craig Anderson to tie the game.

Captain Dustin Brown scored the winning goal in overtime. The victory, combined with the Detroit Red Wings’ victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, means the Kings will face the Vancouver Canucks when the playoffs get underway later this week.
