You predicted it: Kings and Canucks go to OT in Game 2
Of course, the team that ended the season with five consecutive overtime or shootout games and started its playoff journey with an overtime loss had to go to sudden-death play again.
The Kings outshot the Canucks, 11-5, in the third period but the score remained at 2-2.
The third period was played at a breakneck pace, going end to end more rapidly than either coach could have wanted but a riveting show for the fans.
We'll have more about these dramatic Kings later at www.latimes.com/sports
