The Kings extended their lead to 5-0 before the Canucks could get anything past Jonathan Bernier, ending Bernier’s shutout streak at 111 minutes and 13 seconds.

Jarret Stoll scored on a power play at 3:37 of the second period on the rebound of a blast by Drew Doughty, and Dustin Brown made it 5-0 at 9:20, also on a power play. He took a pass from Ryan Smyth and nearly fanned on his shot but got enough of the puck to slide it under Roberto Luongo and become Brown’s 20th goal this season.

The Canucks scored twice within 39 seconds, with Kyle Wellwood connecting on a power play at 12:43 from close range and Ryan Kesler beating Bernier with a nasty wrist shot at 13:22.
