UCLA-USC Dual Meet Hall of Fame induction ceremony [Updated]

The UCLA-USC annual Dual Meet has elicited top performances from some of the best track and field athletes in the nation.

On Tuesday, a second class of former Bruin and Trojan standouts will be inducted into the Meet Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the J.D. Morgan Center at UCLA from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All of the nine inductees will be in attendance except for former UCLA star Dave Laut, who was shot to death at his home in Oxnard on Aug. 28.

From UCLA: Mike Tully (pole vault), Joanna Hayes (hurdles), Steve Lewis (sprints), Laut (shot put) and Chelsea Johnson (pole vault).

From USC: Earl McCullough (hurdles), Louie Zamperini (distance), Lesley Noll (middle distance) and Bryan Krill (sprints).

The event kicks off this year's Dual Meet, which will be held on May 1 at Drake Stadium.

[Updated: An earlier version of this post stated that the inaugural class was being inducted.]
