The Ducks recalled goaltender Joey MacDonald from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League and reassigned goaltender J.P. Levasseur to the Springfield Falcons, also of the AHL. MacDonald, 30, has split the 2009-10 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the arlies. In six contests with the Maple Leafs, MacDonald went 1-4-0 with a 3.20 goals-against average and an .892 save percentage. Acquired from Toronto in exchange for a seventh-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, MacDonald has appeared in 72 NHL contests with Detroit, Boston, the New York Islanders and Toronto, going 18-38-9 with a 3.30 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.

Levasseur, 23, did not make an appearance with Anaheim following his recall from Springfield on March 30. He has appeared in 25 contests with Springfield this season, posting an 8-16-1 record with a 3.59 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage.
