The Dodgers and Pirates didn’t take long to put their first runs of the season on the board in Monday’s baseball opener.

The score is tied, 2-2, after the first inning at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park.

The Dodgers scored with two outs in the top of the first on a two-run single by Matt Kemp that brought in Russell Martin and Andre Ethier.

The Pirates answered with a two-run home run by Garrett Jones, who smashed a Vicente Padilla fastball over the right-field wall and all the way out of the stadium and into the Allegheny River.
