Chris Berman to stay at ESPN
Berman will continue to host ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" (as he has for 25 years), "Monday Night Countdown" and the "Monday Night Football" halftime show as well as continue to anchor ESPN's U.S. Open golf coverage. Berman joined ESPN in October 1979, less than a month after the network's launch.
Berman said, "Home is where the heart is, and I am thrilled to be staying home at ESPN for years to come. It's been a privilege to work alongside my colleagues."
Next up for Berman on ESPN is to serve as host for coverage of the NFL draft which, for the first time, begins during weekday prime time, Thursday, at 4:30 p.m. PDT. Berman has hosted ESPN's draft coverage since 1987.
