Bob Uecker to undergo heart surgery

Hall of Fame Milwaukee Brewers radio announcer Bob Uecker is scheduled to undergo heart surgery on Friday and is expected to need two to three months to recover.

Uecker was a .200 hitter in his six-year major league career. His acting credentials include a memorable role as Harry Doyle in the ‘Major League’ movies as well as the role of George Owens in the sitcom ‘Mr. Belvedere.’ He has been calling Brewers games for 40 seasons.
