Some fans hadn’t even settled into their seats Saturday afternoon by the time the Angels scored in the Freeway Series finale at Dodger Stadium. (And lucky for them, given the horrid pregame version of ‘America the Beautiful’ sung by three Alvin and the Chipmunks mascots.)

Erick Aybar led off the first inning with a single off Chad Billingsley and went to third on Bobby Abreu’s hit-and-run single to right field. Torii Hunter then grounded into a double play, scoring Aybar to give the Angels a 1-0 lead.

The Dodgers are now taking their first hacks off Angels sinkerball specialist Joel Pineiro, whom they hammered for four runs in four innings last October when he pitched for St. Louis in the series-clinching Game 3 of the National League division series.
